Frontier College is a Canada-wide,
volunteer-based, literacy organization. Since
1899, Frontier has been reaching out to people
wherever they are and responding to their particular
learning needs. Volunteers, trained, resourced
and supported by a dedicated staff, teach people
to read and write, and acquire the skills for
lifelong learning. After its centennial, Frontier
College embarked on a visionary 10-year program
to recruit, train and deploy up to 24,000 volunteer
literacy tutors and to maintain that size of volunteer
force year by year. In addition to federal government
funding for elements of the program, Frontier
faced the challenge of raising $7 million in endowments,
through its Great Expectations capital
campaign. KMA was retained as campaign managers
and consultants.
"KMA Consultants
Inc. are the very capable consultants with us
in our Great Expectations campaign. We have worked
with them from the very beginning; their advice
and support have been effective at every stage
of the campaign, from leadership recruitment to
research, canvasser recruitment and campaign planning.
Their work on our campaign materials was particularly
effective."
"KMA are more than our consultants
in this campaign; they are our partners."
John D. O'Leary, President
