Ken MacLeod

Ken MacLeod is president of KMA Consultants. As vice-president for development in the early 1990s at what is now Crandall University, he led the planning and execution of a campaign for a $13-million project, resulting in a new university campus. Prior to the campaign, under his direction, ABU’s donation income in the $1,000-and-over category rose 750% in a five-year period.

From 1995–1999 Ken served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick. He was a member of the legislature’s standing committee on crown corporations, and was legislative assistant to the Minister of Health and Community Services (1995–1997) and to the Minister of Economic Development and Tourism (1997–1999).

Currently Ken serves as a board member for World Relief Canada, Youth Orchestra of the Americas as well as president of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra. 

His community leadership is best known through introducing and promoting the El Sistema music program in New Brunswick. As a volunteer, Ken led in creating Sistema NB which now is having a profound impact in the lives of several hundred children and their families. Ken also serves as a resource to Sistema-affiliated groups across Canada and internationally. 

His skill and discipline, his knowledge of philanthropy and his understanding of fundraising dynamics among community organizations have proven very beneficial to KMA clients.
